1) Selection Process
தேர்வு முறை
The recruitment journey for candidates consists of a rigorous multi-stage evaluation designed to ensure physical excellence and mental discipline.
A. Written Examination (எழுத்துத் தேர்வு): Testing core knowledge, analytical reasoning, and aptitude through a comprehensive examination process.
B. Physical Tests (உடல் தகுதித் தேர்வுகள்): Includes Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Endurance Test (ET), and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
C. Certificate Verification (அசல் சான்றிதழ்கள் சரிபார்ப்பு): Thorough validation of original credentials and documents for merit-listed candidates.
இத்தேர்வில் நேர்முகத்தேர்வு (Viva-Voce) கிடையாது.
Special Note: There is no Viva-Voce (Interview) for this examination.
2) Written Examination / எழுத்துத் தேர்வு
The recruitment process begins with a comprehensive written evaluation consisting of two distinct parts. Performance in Part-II is critical for the final merit list.
Part-I: Tamil Language Eligibility Test / பகுதி-I: தமிழ் மொழி தகுதித் தேர்வு
- Total Questions: 80 Objective Type Questions
- Total Marks: 80 Marks
- Duration: 100 Minutes (1 hour 40 mins)
- Qualifying Rule: Candidates must score at least 40% (32 marks) in Part-I to qualify for Part-II evaluation.
Part-II: Main Written Examination / பகுதி-II: முதன்மை எழுத்துத் தேர்வு
- General Knowledge: 45 Marks
- Psychology: 25 Marks
- Total Marks: 70 Marks
- Qualifying Marks: A minimum of 25 marks is required (Open candidates: 28 marks).
- Final Selection: Only the marks scored in Part-II will be considered for the final merit selection list.

4) Educational Qualification (கல்வ ித் தகுதி)
- Minimum Standard: Candidates must have passed 10th Standard (SSLC) or its equivalent examination. (10-ஆம் வகுப்பு அல்லது அதற்கு சமமான தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.)
- Language Proficiency: Must have studied Tamil as one of the subjects in the 10th standard exam. (10-ஆம் வகுப்பில் தமிழை ஒரு பாடமாகப் பயின்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.)
- Higher educational qualifications like Diploma or Degree are accepted only if the candidate has fundamentally cleared the SSLC exam.
5) உடற்கூறு அளத்தல் (Physical Measurement Test - PMT)
உயரம் (Height Standards)
- OC, BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC: Men - 170 cms, Women - 159 cms
- SC, SC(A), ST: Men - 167 cms, Women - 157 cms
மார்பு அளவு (Chest Measurement - Men Only)
6) Physical Endurance Test (உடல் திறன் தேர்வு)
ஆண்கள் (Men)
Endurance Test (தகுதித் தேர்வு):
- 1500 Meters Run - Finished in 7 Minutes
PET Events (உடல் திறன் போட்டிகள்):
- Rope Climbing (கயிறு ஏறுதல்)
- Long Jump (நீளம ் தாண்டுதல்) or High Jump (உயரம் தாண்டுதல்)
- 100m or 400m Run (ஓட்டம்)
பெண்கள் & திருநங்கைகள் (Women & Transgender)
Endurance Test (தகுதித் தேர்வு):
- 400 Meters Run - Finished in 2 Minutes 30 Seconds
PET Events (உடல் திறன் போட்டிகள்):
- Long Jump (நீளம் தாண்டுதல்)
- Shot Put (குண்டு எறிதல்) or Cricket Ball Throw
- 100m or 200m Run (ஓட்டம்)
Medical Examination / மருத்து வ பரிசோதனை
- Weight and BMI (எடை மற்றும் உடல் நிறை குறியீடு): Candidates must maintain weight in proportion to height as per prescribed standards. (உயரத்திற்கு ஏற்ற உடல் எடை பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்).
- Fitness Certificates (முழுமையான மருத்துவத் தகுதி): Overall health assessment involving visual standards and general physical fitness screening. (உடல் உறுப்புகள் மற்றும் கண்பார்வை சோதனைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்ய வேண்டும்).
7) சிறப்பு மதிப்பெண்கள் (Special Marks)
- NCC (தேசிய மாணவர் படை): 2 மதிப்பெண்கள்
- NSS (நாட்டு நலப்பணித் திட்டம்): 1 மதிப்பெண்
- விளையாட்டு (Sports): 2 மதிப்பெண்கள்
அசல் சான்றிதழ்களைச் சமர்ப்பிக்கும் விண்ணப்பதாரர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே சிறப்பு மதிப்பெண்கள் வழங்கப்படும்.
8) இறுதித் தேர்வு (Final Selection)
எழுத்துத் தேர்வு (Part-II), உடற்தகுதித் தேர்வு (PET) மற்றும் சிறப்பு மதிப்பெண்கள் ஆகியவற்றில் பெற்ற மொத்த மதிப்பெண்களின் அடிப்படையில் தகுதியாளர் பட்டியல் (Final Merit List) தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு, இட ஒதுக்கீடு விதிகளின்படி விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
